What to Expect During Your In-Home Wellness Session

Inviting a wellness provider into your home should feel easy, comfortable, and stress-free. Below you’ll find exactly what to expect for each service, along with simple ways to prepare so you can relax and enjoy every moment.

Massage Therapy

  • Space – Please clear an area large enough for a massage table and about the size of a twin bed on each side. This gives our therapist room to maneuver around the treatment table.

  • Clothing – A robe or comfortable clothing works best before your session. Once the table is ready, your therapist will step out so you may undress to your comfort level and get under the sheets. You will always be professionally draped for privacy.

  • Hair – Pull hair back in a bun, ponytail, or clip to keep it away from your face.

  • Makeup – Best to skip makeup so you can fully relax.

Reiki (Energy Healing)

  • Space – Have a quiet space ready where Kris can set up her table. Reiki can also be given while you sit in a chair or lie on a couch—just let Cat know ahead of time at cfuller@jadewellness.org if this is your preference.

  • Clothing – Wear soft, loose-fitting clothes (sweatpants, leggings, relaxed shirt) so you feel completely at ease.

Acupuncture

  • Space – Please clear an area large enough for a treatment table (about the size of a yoga mat on each side).

  • Clothing – Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can roll up easily at the sleeves and legs. If access to another area is needed, Jennifer will provide privacy for you to adjust and cover up again.

  • Hair – Pull hair back in a bun, ponytail, or clip to keep it away from your face.

Facials

  • Space – Please clear an area large enough for a treatment table (about the size of a yoga mat on each side).

  • Outlet & Water – Rita will need access to a nearby outlet and warm running water. She’ll ask when she arrives, so nothing needs to be done in advance.

  • Clothing – Wear a loose-fitting top for comfort.

  • Hair – Pull back or clip up your hair so your face is clear.

  • Makeup – Come with a clean face if possible. If not, no worries—Rita will begin by cleansing your skin.

General Notes

  • Set Up & Breakdown – Your provider will arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Please allow a few minutes for them to set up their treatment table and any materials. Your full session time is always honored—setup and breakdown will never cut into your appointment.

  • Pets & Children – For the best experience, we kindly ask that pets and young children remain in another room during your session so you can fully relax.

  • Most importantly, your comfort, privacy, and safety are always our top priorities. Please reach out to us via email, text, phone if you have any other questions prior to your appointment.
